which gallantly patrols the borders of the Empire fending off Maquis
scum and the deprevations of the Klingon rabble. They are also used
to remind former colonies such as the Bajorans, cravenly cowering
under the wings of the Federation's Starfleet, of the might of the
Cardassian Empire.
